About the Alliance for Home Health Quality and Innovation
Download the Alliance 2009 Overview.
The Alliance for Home Health Quality and Innovation is a national consortium of home health care organizations and providers that raises awareness about home health care and its proven ability to deliver quality, cost-effective, patient-centered care for patients.
Established in 2008, the Alliance proactively informs and educates decision makers and the public on the value and promise of home healthcare in helping to address the significant challenges that face our nation’s healthcare system.
The Alliance will work with key healthcare organizations and thought leaders to serve as an advocate for home healthcare and a catalyst for continued improvement in the quality of care it provides. The Alliance will:
- Conduct research to help demonstrate the value, benefits, and patient preference of home health care.
- Provide opportunities for patients, providers, and families to communicate their need for Medicare - and all types of health insurance - to cover more home health care services.
- Promote the latest innovations in home health care and how they are delivering results for the health care system.
- Advance the transition of a healthcare delivery system that is more focused on prevention and care coordination by expanding the use of home health care professionals beyond post-acute and home-bound patients.
